At Cap City, we believe that practice is the primary foundation for all success in swimming. Practice means both physical effort AND consistent rehearsal of techniques. Practice is just that - practicing skills, rehearsing techniques so that they may be reproduced during competition. Practice is also fun!! A positive, challenging team experience at practice is how becoming a proficient swimmer takes place. Our swimmers should always strive to regularly have great practices!
Swimmers must follow the facility/pool rules at all pools and follow instructions from all coaches & JCC staff.
Swimmers should be ready to begin practice at the scheduled time, including cap, goggles, and any other swimming or dryland equipment.
Swimmers should strive to complete entire swims, and use proper pushoffs, turns, and finishes to build good practice habits.
Swimmers are encouraged to support their teammates at all times. Working together as a unit for the benefit of all is an important part of positive team culture.
More details are listed in the team code of conduct.
